Terry Blackmon, RPh
Terry is a pharmacist at the Medicine Cabinet in Lake City, SC. A graduate of MUSC (1980), Terry currently serves on the Carolina Pharmacy Network Board of Directors. Terry has been a Pee Dee Region Delegate since 2000. Terry is a Vested member of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association and is also a member of NCPA. Terry is a Past President and Treasurer of the Pee Dee Pharmacy Association.

John Pugh, PharmD, RPh
Dr. John Pugh is a 2005 graduate of the University Of South Carolina College Of Pharmacy. John knew early on he wanted to become a pharmacy owner and participated in the USC Community Pharmacy Practice Elective as a third year student. His ownership opportunity arrived a little earlier in his career than expected and he took over Prosperity Drug Company soon after graduation. John Pugh has been an active member of SCPhA and won the 2008 Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award.

C. Wayne Weart, PharmD, RPh
Dr. Wayne Weart is a Professor with the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the SC College of Pharmacy, as well as a Professor of Family Medicine in the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Prior to his teaching at the Medical University, Dr. Weart taught at West Virginia University, in pharmacy and family medicine. Dr. Weart received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1971 from the University of Georgia and three years later received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Dr. Weart has been active in the association for several years, holding leadership positions and serving on committees. Dr. Weart is also an acclaimed speaker. He has received numerous awards from his profession including the Bowl of Hygeia Award.

Pamela Whitmire, PharmD, RPh
Dr. Pam Whitmire is currently Pharmacist-in-Charge at Southwest Carolina Treatment Center in Anderson. Prior to this she worked at Fred’s Pharmacy and was President and Co-Owner of Honea Path Family Pharmacy in Honea Path. A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and the University of Florida, she serves on the South Carolina College of Pharmacy Leadership Advisory Council and as a preceptor for the College. She is part of the Ask-A-Tiger network at Clemson University where she actively works with students interested in the profession of pharmacy and serves as a preceptor. Pamela is a vested member of SCPhA who has served the Association in numerous positions, including Past President and currently serving as the At-Large Board Member of SCPhA. She is also a member of APhA where she served as Speaker of the House of Delegates, ASHP, SCSHP, Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society, and life member of the MUSC College of Pharmacy Alumni Association.

William Wynn, PharmD, RPh
Dr. William Wynn is a vested member of SCPhA. William began his career in pharmacy working at Revco, after graduating from MUSC in 1999 and continued working at Revco while completing his Doctor of Pharmacy from USC in 1999. He then worked at CVS before becoming an assistant professor Pharmacy Practice at South University School of Pharmacy. He serves as the School's Experiential Education Coordinator, which affords him an opportunity to travel across our state meeting with pharmacists in practice to learn from them what is important in both practice and in policy. William is a member of several professional organizations, at the local, state, and national level. He has previously been a Pee Dee region delegate to the SCPhA HOD and currently represents South University School of Pharmacy as the appointed delegate. William has also served on several focus groups and subcommittees for SCPhA, William actively participates in the calls to legislative action by contacting state and federal representatives on behalf of the profession so that pharmacy's voice is heard.

Patricia Powell, PharmD, RPh
Patti Powell is an Assistant Professor with the South Carolina College of Pharmacy on the University of South Carolina campus and a clinical pharmacist for Walgreens Pharmacy in Columbia, SC. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy and completed a 1-year community pharmacy practice residency with the University of Georgia and Kroger Pharmacy in Athens, GA. Patti has been active in the South Carolina Pharmacy Association and serves as faculty for the certificate training programs in immunization and MTM for SCPhA.

Bryan Amick, PharmD, RPh
Dr. Bryan Amick is a 2005 graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. He is Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. Bryan has practiced in a number of settings, including hospital, chain, and independent/compounding pharmacy. He's also practiced as a long-term care consultant pharmacist.

Megan Montgomery, PharmD, RPh
Dr. Megan Montgomery is currently employed at Reynolds Drug Store in Andrews, SC. She met owner and future employer, Julian Reynolds, while attending the 2008 SCPhA convention. She worked at Wal-Mart Pharmacy for 3 years while in school, and prior to moving to Andrews, she interned for John Pugh at Prosperity drug after having him as a preceptor. A 2009 graduate of USC College of Pharmacy, Megan served as Class President, SCCP Student Liaison, and commencement speaker and was active in the Academy of Student Pharmacists, Kappa Epsilon, Phi Lambda Sigma and Student Government Association.

Ed Vess, PharmD, RPh
Ed Vess is the General Manager of Pharmacy Consultants, Inc. in Spartanburg, SC. Prior to becoming General Manager Ed worked as a consultant pharmacist after working hospital and retail. A 1980 graduate of USC College of Pharmacy where he was involved in Student American Pharmaceutical Association, The Pharmacy Papyrus, and Phi Lambda Sigma. Ed currently serves on the P&T Committee for SC Medicaid, the Technician and Pharmacy Practice Committees of the SC Board of Pharmacy, and the Board of Directors of the Spartanburg Pilots Association. Ed is a preceptor for the SC College of Pharmacy and South University College of Pharmacy. He is also involved in the Long Term Care Pharmacy Alliance.

Kristy Brittain, PharmD, RPh
Kristy Brittain is a 2005 graduate of Wilkes University. She completed a residency with a focus on community care at Campbell University School of Pharmacy. She is currently an assistant professor at the SC College of Pharmacy, MUSC Campus and Clincial Coordinator for KDI Health Solutions. Kristy has been active in the South Carolina Pharmacy Association and serves as faculty for the certificate training programs in immunization and MTM for SCPhA.

Steve McElmurray, RPh
Steve McElmurray, RPh, is the owner of Parks Pharmacy in North Augusta, SC. As a Vested member of SCPhA, Steve is a proven leader in the pharmacy profession. He served on the SCPhA Board of Directors, volunteered for SCPhA's convention committee, and has also been President of the Aiken Area Pharmacy Association. Steve has been recognized in the profession for his outstanding service and has received several awards, including SCPhA's prestigious Bowl of Hygeia. In addition to his work for the profession, Steve has also been recognized for his service to his local community.

Carmelo Cinqueonce, MBA
Carmelo Cinqueonce was appointed CEO of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association (SCPhA) in June of 2006. Prior to joining SCPhA, Carmelo served as Executive Vice President and Lead Lobbyist for the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association (MPhA). Carmelo holds a B.A. in Corporate Communications and an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts—Boston, College of Management. Carmelo is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives, the South Carolina Society of Association Executives, and the National Association for Non-Profit Boards. Carmelo serves as President-Elect for the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations (NASPA) and as a Board Member for APMS (a subsidiary of NASPA).
